Kerry Whitman is a Principal with The Whitman Group, a leading attorney recruiting firm with offices in New York, California and Texas. Kerry divides his time between our California and Texas offices.
Kerry has worked closely with associate and partner level attorneys throughout his 12 years as a recruiter. He has consulted extensively with all levels of law firm management in regard to their lateral hiring and developmental needs. He leverages his experience and knowledge of the legal market and his understanding of the lateral recruiting process to help counsel attorneys on career moves that make sense for them.
While the vast majority of Kerry’s work is in California and Texas, he has successfully completed placements in New York, Seattle, Chicago, DC, Charlotte, Miami, Atlanta, Portland, Hong Kong, Beijing, London and Sydney.
Recently, Kerry was made aware by one of his clients, an AMLaw 100 law firm, that The Whitman Group shared the distinction of having made the most placements into the firm for the given year. The other recruiting firm had multiple offices and several recruiters involved in the placements. The Whitman Group’s placements were all made by Kerry.
